Concerning the virtual posedown that was presented in these photos, it is easily apparent that Ronnie Coleman is an amazing picture of extreme mass and cuts. Arnold Schwarzenegger, on the other hand, is the picture of symmetry and classical lines with incredible size.
Looking at these two physiques matched up by computer, one realizes why pro bodybuilding has lost popularity. Not many trainers in gyms today would want to look like Ronnie. He is beyond reality. Although Arnold is certainly beyond 99% of trainees today, we still can dream, can’t we? We can only hope that the IFBB really holds to their new rules and ushers in a new era in pro bodybuilding. We sure hope we go “back to the future.”
I’ve been an Arnold worshipper for 30-plus years, but have also watched Ronnie’s career and had numerous pics of him on my gym walls. It was tough to choose, but I still have to lean toward the governor. You just can’t compare those lines and those lats; plus, Arnold always makes it look so easy! – Bob McGann
